Welcome to The Knotty Kids, a woman-owned, children’s hair salon where the salon experience has been reimagined for your family. Nestled in the heart of the Park Hill neighborhood in Denver and decked out in a smashing Rock ‘n’ Roll theme, we’ve created more than just a place for haircuts; it’s a haven where families can join in and be a part of the heartbeat of a vibrant community.
At The Knotty Kids, haircuts become musical adventures designed to unleash your child’s inner rockstar. Decked out in vibrant colors and sounds, our space allows the joy of childhood to meet the rhythm of self-discovery. Our mission is to celebrate each child, and to ensure they leave not only with a stylish new look, but also with extra confidence, more smiles to share, and looking forward to their next experience.
In fact, the belief that our surroundings profoundly affect how we feel is so central to our philosophy that we took it further and designed The Knotty Kids Sensory Room, the first of its kind in Denver, which provides a safe and supportive space for kids with sensory processing and autism spectrum challenges to enjoy a stress-free and fun haircut experience.
At The Knotty Kids, every child matters, and every mom, dad, sister and brother matter too. Fun, kindness and understanding are the guiding lights of our day. Our stylists are not just talented pros; they’re advocates and engineers for self-expression.
With the coolest styles in town, we will help your kid’s creativity shine and turn each haircut into a rockin’ experience they will not forget and look forward to coming back to.
Cancellation/no show Policy: We ask that you please cancel at least 12 hours before your appointment time or you may be charged a fee of 50% of the price of your scheduled service. We have a very large waitlist and when appointments aren’t cancelled, it prevents us from filling those spots. Thank you for your understanding.

TKK specializes in haircuts, updo’s for special occasions, Kids braids, curling/straightening.
TKK also has a quiet room designed to cater to children with ASD and sensory needs – the first of it’s kind in Denver.
Tony's Room
The first of it’s kind in Denver, “Tony’s Room” is a private room designed for kiddos with ASD and other sensory challenges. A quiet, calming space with lots of sensory toys to choose from. Our stylists will give your child all the support he/she needs to make this process as stress free as possible.

My daughters (ages 6 and 8) have been to Knotty Kids twice now; simply put, I’m blown away by this salon. The salon is bright and inviting; and stylists are clearly interested in connecting with children in a meaningful way.
We love Knotty Kids! The stylists that my kids have seen are fantastic! My daughter begs to get her haircut because they have created such a fun and welcoming salon! She never leaves without some glitter and a cute little hairdo.

We took our son to Knotty Kids Salon for his first hair cut (he just turned 2) and I am so pleased with the experience. The salon is set up wonderfully for kids of all ages, and they are taking safety seriously. The haircut is better than I could have hoped for with a fidgety toddler. We’ll be coming back and recommending them to others.
My daughter had her first haircut with Jordan. She was great with my daughter, helped make the experience fun and gave her a sweet first haircut.

Very cute, clean and kind! We got our days mixed up but Betty was kind enough to take us as a walk in and she was wonderful!
Betty was really patient and gentle with my son and took her time to get everything nice and cleaned up, really appreciate the entire team and business. The place is nice and clean and it’s really professional and kid friendly environment and they know what they’re doing there. Great work!
Katie is a true professional. She worked really well with my son and gave him an excellent haircut. This was our first experience here and my son’s first professional haircut. I loved everything in here. They have cool chairs the kids sit in, they had plenty of distractions that any toddler would love, books to read while waiting and the staff is wonderful. We will definitely be coming back and next time we’ll bring mom so we can all enjoy the playground right outside, along with some pizza or the wine bar next door.
We took our daughter here for her first haircut and it was an awesome experience. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and made us feel comfortable. The salon is well-decorated and fit for children with toys, books and cute chairs. Katie did a fantastic job cutting our daughter’s hair and we love the cutting they gave us to keep along with the photo they took of her! We will definitely be back for any future hair appointments!
Our kids never complain about a hair cut… So long as it is here.
I took my son here today for his very first haircut and we saw Jordan. I was so anxious about getting his first haircut and I cannot express how thankful I am for Jordan and the experience she provided for us. She was so fantastic and sweet with my son and did an amazing and quick job. I absolutely recommend The Knotty Kids Salon!
Love this place. I take my 2 girls (12 and 8) here to get their hair cut and the stylists are amazing and great with kids! They have iPads and cool chairs for the littles. Such a fantastic place to bring your kiddos for a hair cut! 10/10

The Knotty Kids Salon is located in the North Park Hill neighborhood in Denver, CO in the shops at Park Hill Commons. Park Hill is one of Denver’s oldest and largest neighborhoods located east of Colorado Blvd and west of Monaco Parkway. Colfax Ave is the southern border and Park Hill extends just north of I-70. 29th Avenue is a main east/west artery through the neighborhood and there is public transportation readily available.
Park Hill Commons features a mix of restaurants and retail stores.
